Watch whirling tides and powerful currents from the safety of a suspension bridge

Spanning the strait is the 876-meter-long Onaruto Bridge, a vital transportation link between Shikoku and Honshu. Traverse the 450-meter Uzunomichi Walkway, a pedestrian path built within the bridge girder that extends to the south tower of the bridge. The path sits 45 meters above the tempestuous tidal currents of the sea that form the Naruto whirlpools, and affords amazing views of the waters and ships passing below.
